New SSS Contribution
Earlier this year, Republic Act No. 11199 (The Social Security Act of 2018) was signed by the president. Under the law, the monthly contributions of SSS members will be increased from the current 11% to 12% this year and will gradually increase every other year until it reaches 15% on 2025. Minimum and maximum monthly salary credits will likewise gradually increase. The New Contribution Schedule for 2019 will be implemented for the applicable month of April and payable in May 2019.
